As per the reports, the growth in the pharmaceuticals products, Export from Pithampur SEZ has been increased to 45% in the F.Y. 2016-17. The Special Economic Zone (SEZ) recorded the export of ₹ 8,428 crores in the year 2016-17 as against the last year export of ₹ 5,800 crores. The increase in the export, growth in production and manufacturing units will further increase the employment opportunities in the state.

Smart Industrial Park:-

The Smart Industrial Park is one of the major projects of The Madhya Pradesh Audyogik Kendra Vikas Nigam (I) Limited, Indore (AKVN). It is developing near the existing site of National Auto Testing Track (NATRiP) project in Pithampur. This project is spreading in the area of 467.731 Hectares. The Smart Industrial park, which would have the top-notch industrial infrastructure, is expected to be geared up for launch by June 2019. More than ₹ 15,000 crores venture is likely to rain on the park after its completion, with the 200 -acre land has already been set aside for Japanese investors. This whole project is likely to produce as many as 15,000 jobs in the area.
